TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 15 (Intel) Linux Laptop Debuts with Core Ultra 7

The new TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 15 (Intel) Linux laptop pairs Core Ultra 7 power with a 99 Wh battery and full Linux support.

TUXEDO Computers has unveiled the Intel-powered version of its InfinityBook Pro 15, a premium Linux laptop aimed at developers and media creators who want performance, portability, and full Linux support in one package.

The new model features Intel’s Core Ultra 7 255H processor, paired with up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory, offering plenty of headroom for heavy workloads such as coding, compiling, or video editing. The CPU packs 16 cores—six performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and two ultra-low-power cores—striking a balance between speed and power efficiency.

TUXEDO also offers three performance profiles: Balanced (up to 35 W PL1), Enthusiast (up to 45 W PL1), and Overboost (up to 90 W PL1 at full fan speed). Cooling is handled by two low-profile fans and heat pipes, keeping the system quiet under light use and steady under full load.

Graphics are powered by the integrated Intel Arc 140T GPU, which offers eight Xe cores clocked up to 2.25 GHz. It’s roughly on par with the Radeon 890M found in the AMD variant of the same model, making it capable of handling light gaming, content creation, and even local AI workloads without an external GPU.

Like the AMD edition released earlier, the Intel variant maintains the same premium build—an ultra-thin all-aluminum chassis weighing just 1.75 kg and measuring under 20 mm thick.

It features a 15.3-inch 2560×1600 display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB coverage, and 500 nits of brightness, making it comfortable for both office and outdoor use. The lid opens up to 180 degrees, and a privacy shutter covers the 1080p webcam when not in use.

The keyboard area includes a full layout with a separate numeric pad and offset arrow keys for better ergonomics, plus a glass precision touchpad for smoother navigation. Customers can also choose between matte-black (ISO layout) and dark-silver-gray (ANSI layout) keyboards.

Connectivity and expandability are strong points here. The InfinityBook Pro 15 ( Intel ) includes dual USB-C ports—one with Thunderbolt 4 support—alongside HDMI 2.1, three USB-A ports, a full-size card reader, and even a LAN port. It supports up to three external monitors and flexible charging via USB-C Power Delivery, with a range of 60 W to 150 W.

Inside, users can configure up to 128 GB of DDR5-5600 or 96 GB of DDR5-6400 RAM, along with up to 8 TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. Powering it all is a 99 Wh battery—the maximum allowed for air travel—which should make it one of the longest-lasting Linux ultrabooks on the market.

As expected from TUXEDO, the InfinityBook Pro 15 ( Intel ) ships with full Linux support. Buyers can choose between TUXEDO OS and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, both of which offer optional full-disk encryption. Windows 11 is also available as an alternative, but the company clearly keeps Linux at the forefront with preinstalled drivers, in-house utilities, and dedicated Linux-trained support.

The base configuration includes a Core Ultra 7 255H CPU, 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD, and TUXEDO OS preinstalled. Pricing starts at €1,399 (incl. VAT for EU customers) or around €1,175 (excl. VAT) for international buyers. Pre-orders are open now, with shipping expected to begin in mid-November.
