DXVK 3.1.1 Brings Fixes for Skyrim SE, Rayman 3, and More

DXVK 3.1.1 addresses issues in Skyrim Special Edition, Rayman 3, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Painkiller, Corpse Party, and other titles.

DXVK, the Vulkan-based translation layer that lets Windows games using Direct3D 8, 9, 10, and 11 run on Linux through Wine and Proton, has been updated to version 3.1.1, with fixes for several games, along with a few DXGI and shader-related improvements.

The release includes a few compatibility fixes under the hood, including improvements for some Adobe applications and a fix for crashes caused by certain ENB shaders.

The update also resolves an issue that could cause deadlocks in Direct3D 9 games. Two titles mentioned are SpellForce 2 Anniversary Edition and The Sims: Medieval.

Several game-specific fixes are included as well. Call of Duty: Ghosts no longer suffers from vertex explosions on player models, while Corpse Party gets a fix for a regression that caused part of the screen to appear dark.

Painkiller: Black Edition had a problem with incorrect game window sizing, which has now been fixed. Rayman 3 also gets a regression fix for flickering graphics.

Skyrim Special Edition players may see the most notable change in this release. DXVK 3.1.1 adds a workaround for poor CPU performance that could occur on some systems when the game’s frame rate is unlocked.

Finally, the developer notes that some antivirus programs have once again started flagging DXVK’s 32-bit builds. No specific antivirus products are named in the release notes.
