TUXEDO Unveils First Mini LED Linux Laptop with Next-Gen PCIe 5.0

TUXEDO Stellaris 16 - Gen7: High-end Linux gaming laptop with RTX 5090, Intel Ultra 9 CPU & HDR mini LED display. Now available for pre-order.

Today, TUXEDO Computers, a German Linux computer manufacturer, unveiled its newest powerhouse, the Stellaris 16 – Gen7, a versatile Linux notebook designed for gamers and high-performance professionals alike.

Housed within an elegant, all-aluminum chassis, the Stellaris 16 delivers durability without compromising mobility. It weighs a manageable 2.6 to 2.85 kg and has dimensions optimized for portability and powerful cooling. The design features stiff hinges that easily allow for a one-handed opening.

At its core, the Stellaris 16 offers extraordinary processing power, featuring Intel’s latest desktop-based Core Ultra 9 275HX processor. With 24 cores and speeds up to 5.4 GHz, this CPU can easily handle heavy multitasking, complex video editing, and intense gaming.

Remarkably, it achieves this powerhouse performance while consuming roughly half the power of its predecessor, thus significantly boosting battery life.

Graphics enthusiasts will be pleased with the available NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090 graphics cards, which are configurable to match personal preferences between ultimate power and whisper-quiet operation.

Moreover, with a triple-fan cooling system, airflow optimization ensures desktop-level gaming performance or nearly silent, efficient computing at reduced fan speeds.

A standout feature is introducing TUXEDO’s first-ever HDR mini LED display. Boasting 2560×1600 pixels, a stunning peak brightness of 1000 nits in HDR mode, and 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy. Plus, needless to say, with its 300 Hz refresh rates, both work and gaming visuals are smooth and immersive.

The Stellaris 16 further impresses with its extensive storage capabilities, offering ultra-fast PCIe 5.0 SSD options, up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM, and accessible hardware upgrades.

Connectivity-wise, the notebook supports Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C, Mini DisplayPort, and USB-A ports for comprehensive peripheral compatibility. The optional TUXEDO Aquaris liquid cooling docking station further enhances cooling efficiency and is ideal for stationary, high-intensity tasks.

Like all TUXEDO notebooks, the Stellaris 16 – Gen7 ships with full Linux support out of the box. This includes pre-installed drivers, in-house-developed utilities, and cloud-based services. Buyers can choose from TUXEDO OS, Ubuntu, or Kubuntu, with optional full-disk encryption. For those who need it, Windows 11 is also available on request.

The Stellaris 16—Gen7 will be available for pre-order starting Friday, May 30, and will begin shipping at the end of June. Pricing starts at approximately €2479, including taxes within Germany, or around €2083, excluding taxes for international customers.
