TigerVNC, a high-speed remote display system that allows users to view and interact with remote computers, has just announced the release of version 1.14.1, addressing several regressions found in previous versions.
To begin with, the native viewer can now again handle VncAuth by default, which was disrupted in previous releases.
Furthermore, graphic acceleration can be easily disabled through the vncserver configuration file, aligning it with other configurable features. In addition, the vncpasswd command is functioning properly again, allowing users to update passwords without issues.
The native viewer now properly supports password files containing multiple passwords, restoring previous functionality. Compatibility with RealVNC servers has also been reestablished, ensuring the native viewer can successfully connect.
Additionally, users of x0vncserver should notice that the mouse cursor no longer mysteriously jumps to the upper left corner, resolving a frustrating bug. Finally, crashes related to H264 encoding have been eliminated, providing a more stable experience.
