The Document Foundation has just released LibreOffice 25.2.6, now available for download on Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms, as the fifth (of a total of seven planned) maintenance update to the 25.2 series for its popular open-source office suite.
Among the fixes in 25.2.6 are memory leaks in the libmacabdrv1
component, corrections in Writer’s font handling, and stability improvements across Calc and Forms.
Developers also addressed a range of problems, including crashes when opening documents via UNO pipes, incorrect table handling, and errors importing DOCX and RTF files. Additionally, the issues with text duplication in Korean input and missing functions in Calc have been resolved.

Earlier bugs carried over from 25.2.5 have also been fixed. These include chart background rendering problems, incorrect date handling in PPTX exports, failures with extension updates, and several crash scenarios in Writer.
In addition to bug fixes, this release brings updated translations. For a full rundown of everything that’s been fixed in LibreOffice 25.2.6, check out the release notes for the RC1 and RC2 versions. The official announcement is here.
The next (and last in the series) update, 25.2.7, is scheduled for early November. LibreOffice 25.2 will be supported through November 30, 2025, after which it’ll reach the end-of-life for that release series.
