Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Is The Lightest ThinkPad Ever

ThinkPad X1 Nano is an extremely lightweight Linux laptop. It is based on Intel Evo platform and powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad brand has a new flagship model. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 1 complements the high-end ThinkPad X1 series with a new, much smaller model. It takes the popular X1 shell and shrinks it even further.

ThinkPad X1 Nano weighs a mere 1.99 pounds (907g), making it one of the lightest business laptops currently on the market. Packed with up to 11th Generation Intel Core i7 processors, X1 Nano features the worldโ€™s best processors for thin-and-light laptops.

The ThinkPad X1 Nano laptop features a 13 inch Dolby Vision 2K display and delivers expansive views with a 16:10 aspect ratio. So itโ€™s actually the same height as the X1 Carbon, yet with a much smaller footprint.

Powered by Intelย Iris Xย graphics, the 2160 x 1350 resolution display with 100% sRGB ensures picture clarity and color accuracy.

To make a ThinkPad this small and light, there had to be some compromises. Notably, the X1 Nano does not have the impressive array of ports that the bigger X1 Carbon boasts. Instead, the ThinkPad Nano has just two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a headphone jack.

Lenovo is implementing Intelโ€™s Wi-Fi 6 solution, which is of course part of the Intel Evo platform, but they are enhancing that with LTE 5G CAT20 for those that need network on the go.

ThinkPad X1 Nano is expected to be available in 4th quarter 2020. Prices are expected to start from $1,399. It can be preloaded with Ubuntu or Windows 10 Pro.
