Today, over three weeks after the 25.08 apps collection release, the KDE team has rolled out its first maintenance update to this series, KDE Gear 25.08.1, with a focus on ironing out issues and polishing stability.
For example, Kate fixes an infinite loop in its git blame integration when running inside Flatpak. Kdenlive sees multiple crash fixes, including problems when opening projects, deleting bin clips, and handling sequences.
Meanwhile, Dolphin gets patches for crashes in selection mode, smoother tab handling, and a fix for double scroll distance.
Other applications also receive attention. Ktorrent resolves a long-standing bug that caused constant writes to the magnets file, while Tokodon fixes problems in the account moderation tools page.
Gwenview addresses video player fade-out glitches and memory handling issues, and Itinerary brings a batch of improvements in handling travel reservations, ticket parsing, and data exports.
Lastly, the release updates translations across the suite, ensuring better internationalization support.
