Clonezilla Live 3.3.3-37 has been released as the latest version of the popular open-source disk imaging and cloning utility, bringing an updated Linux kernel, HTTP Boot support, LUKS2 repository support, and several improvements to direct disk cloning.
The new release is based on the Debian Sid repositories from September 13, 2026. The Linux kernel has been updated to version 7.1.13-1. Partclone, a core component for partition imaging, has also been upgraded to version 0.3.50, which fixes a Btrfs-related issue.
One notable addition in Clonezilla Live 3.3.3-37 is expanded network boot support in Clonezilla Lite Server. Alongside the existing PXE Boot option, administrators can now use HTTP Boot clients, including Secure Boot support when booting through HTTP.
The release also introduces support for LUKS2 repositories, expanding options for encrypted storage. Several older networking components have been cleaned up, replacing deprecated net-tools commands with iproute2 equivalents and removing dhclient-related code in favor of dhcpcd.
Users running Clonezilla on modern high-resolution displays should see an improvement. GRUB now uses preferred resolutions of 1920×1080 and 1024×768, with an automatic option and a 1024×768 fallback.
Clonezilla’s restore process has been optimized as well. When restoring an image to the same disk or partition layout, the software can bypass unnecessary partition-image conversion.
On top of that, the cnvt-ocsiso-qcow2 utility has been reworked with separate VHD and ISO packaging modes, configurable prefixes, and a fix for kernel panics when booting converted VHD images.
Several bugs have been addressed in this release. Among them is a fix for an LVM system.devices locking issue affecting RHEL 10 and AlmaLinux 10 or newer. Clonezilla also fixes a problem where the size or filesystem could not be detected on an otherwise bare disk containing a filesystem.
The release also fixes an issue where the text interface for choosing power-off, reboot, or command actions failed to appear after a cloning operation completed. In addition, the Partclone ncurses interface is now enabled for direct device-to-device cloning.
Other changes include improved handling of local-time hardware clocks, adjustments related to Secure Boot lockdown, a fix for console font auto-detection on non-KMS Full HD systems, and the addition of the netpbm and fonts-unifont packages to the live environment.
