Arch Linux is an independently developed, x86-64 general-purpose GNU/Linux distribution that strives to provide the latest stable versions of most software by following a rolling release model.
Arch Conf was first held in 2010, and a second iteration was held in 2019. Arch members came together for a two-day problem-solving work session. This year, sadly, they cannot hold an in-person conference. They intend to hold a two-day online conference for the Arch community instead to remedy this.
The target audience is intermediate users with a do-it-yourself attitude.
The goal is to have an even split between talks surrounding the Arch Linux distribution and talks from the larger free and open-source software community.

Arch Linux Conf Topics
Though they invite proposals on any FLOSS-related subject, they have some broad topics that Arch Linux encourages people to submit proposals for:
- Derivative distributions
- Build systems
- Infrastructure and deployment
- Reproducible Builds
- Supply-chain security
- Packaging

Talk Formats
- Talks – 45 Minutes (30 minutes + 15 min questions & answers if you want)
- Lightning talks – 10-20 minutes
Arch Linux is currently planning for these two types of formats. However, please get in touch with the team if you have suggestions for alternative formats.
In addition, the Arch Linux conference will be streamed and possibly re-streamed on other platforms as well.
You can enter submissions until September 18, 2020. All talks are expected to be recorded, as this will ease the planning for the live portion of the stream. However, there will be a live Q&A session with the presenters if they are available.
For accepted submissions, the recording should be submitted no later than seven days before the conference. Information onย recording a talkย is available on the conference page.
